The POEA or Philippine Overseas Employment Administration is the agency where one can verify if a recruitment or manning agency that offers work abroad is a licensed recruitment agency. A lot of recruiters are posing as licensed agencies and are pooling or hiring Filipinos for work abroad. That dilemma can be ended by simply checking is the recruitment agency is indeed licensed to hire people to work overseas.
One can go to the POEA Online Service to verify the agency. In the upper right of the website under Online Service, use the search field to verify Licensed Recruitment Agencies in the Philippines.
